Singapore different cuisines! CHICKEN RICE, PRAWN NOODLE, POPIAH, SATAY, ICE KACANG! ;D

Famous Chinese Rice!

Hi guys! JianSen is back again today. Introduing another Chinese cuisine today. It's... Char Siew + Roasted Pork Rice! Seriously, I always think that Singapore has the nicest Chicken Rice, Char Siew Rice & Roasted Pork Rice in the world. I really like Roasted Pork Rice. The two/three layers of meats and fats between in the roasted pork. Doesn't it make you drool? As always, I like Roasted Pork Rice more than Chicken Rice and Char Siew Rice. So gonna introduce this Char Siew + Roasted Pork Rice I ate in Koufu @ Pioneer Mall.
Here's the picture of it!

And then... Here's ther map of it!

Alright! Let's get to commenting about the food. I really like their Roasted Pork! The skin of their Roasted Pork is sooo Crispy. ;D

As for their Char Siew, I will give it a normal rating.. It's just okay.. Like any other normal Char Siew. I don't really like their braised egg. I think that it is too blend. Maybe they didn't cook long enough for it. So.. I don't really recommend people to buy their egg and Char Siew. Cause it's just normal.

But anyway. If you are a Roasted Pork lover, I think that it's really worth to try it out. Don't miss out the Crispy Roasted Pork. ;D

The price for it is fair.
$3.00 for it.

Overall, I will rate 7/10. But for just the Roasted Pork. I will give it a 9/10. ;D

That's all for the post today. Bye guys!

P.S. CRISPY!

Creamy Chicken Spaghetti

Western Food!

Hello everybody (:
Today I will be sharing with you all about western food.
Name of the dish: Creamy Chicken Spaghetti
Cost of the dish: $3.80
Place of the location: Canteen 3 @ NP
Rating: 7/10

Creamy Chicken Spaghetti consists of mushroom, chicken, spaghetti along with creamy sauce.
For the spaghetti is well-cooked, as in other stalls there are some which the spaghetti are too hard, but for this stall is just nice. For the chicken it come in chucks however it is a bit too hard and difficult to chew. For the mushroom it taste too soggy as perhaps the stall owner soak the mushrooms in water for too long.  Overall the spaghetti taste great together with the mushroom but not with the chicken, maybe it will taste better if the stall owner add ham or sausage.
That’s all for today, stay tuned for more!

Mee soto!

Hey guys! Feeling hungry? At NgeeAnn Poly's Makan place, you can buy a bowl of Mee Soto for the price of $2.80!

Lots of noodles ehh? This time the soup base is a bit sour(Mouth watering now?). The amount of noodles the person gave me was a lot and I almost coulden't finish it. However, there wasn't much chicken given and this meal is pretty much chicken noodle in a sour soup. But at a affordable price of $2.80, I think this meal is really worth it and you should give it a try!

6/10  for Tastiness
6.5/10 for Service

Piece of advice : The dish is very soupy, so handle it carefully when carrying it to your table to eat!

Longtong!

Hello! It's me again! Today I'm going to introduce you guys to another malay cuisine food! Guess what it is! It's longggggg.

Here's the picture to give you a hint!

Answer: Longtong!
Normal set doesn't include the 2 fried potatoes. It costs $2.80(notice how malay cuisine meals are cheaper) :D

Longtong is basically rice cakes that are served in sweet gravy, and it includes lots of cabbage as the gravy is actually cabbage curry! However, the curry is a bit too watery and bland. But still, the rest of the meal is sastifying. This is bought from NgeeAnn polytechnic's Makan Place.

Food In A Claypot!

Hello guys! It's back to JianSen again! Back here to introduce another Chinese cuisine. **Drumroll** The... Bean Sauce Pork Ribs Claypot Rice! The rice is really nice. But I don't really like their pot. Cause they used some other material pot instead of original claypot. So... the best part of the rice seems to be disappeared, which is the burned rice. Nevertheless, it's worth a try, thought the burned rice is missing out, but it's still tasty.
So here's the picture of the rice. ;D

And here's the map! It's locate at Kopitiam @ Jurong Point, 3rd floor.

Just as I said, it's worth a try. The rice isn't too dry, and the pork ribs is really nice. I think they cook for a long time, for the pork ribs. And, it's free! If you want to add rice. The normal serving is quite small. Cause once you eat it, you will like keep on going, and unlikey to notice that you are actually finishing it. So.. recommend to add rice. Overall, I think it actually deserve a rating of 9/10, but -1 for no burned rice and they are not a real claypot. So, 8/10!

Price: $5.50.

That's for the Chinese cuisine. Signing out~ Bye guys! Stay tuned!

Mee rebus!

Hello, I'm back!
I found a malay cuisine meal which is quite tongue sastifying while at Clementi Mall's foodfare.

I bought Mee Rebus, which means noodles in gravy. It cost me $2.80 and this is what I got.

Looks delicious isn't it? As usual, the amount of noodles malay stall owners tend to give is a lot and I almost coulden't finish it! The soup is not too thick nor too watery, however, the taste wasn't very strong and I could taste the noodle-lish taste. The egg was normal and I think this is worth your money if you plan to save money. However, the stall owner of the malay food stall actually speaks good English! Haha.
6.5/10 for flavour
8.10 for service

Piece of advice - See those green chilli? It's spicy like WOOAAHH!

Beer Batter Style Fish

Western Food!

Hello everybody (:
Today I will be sharing with you all about western food.
Name of the dish: B.B.F.
Cost of the dish: $4.80
Place of the location: Chippy C @ Tampines one
Rating:9.5/10

B.B.F. is Beer Batter Style Fish along with fries and a dip of your choice. In Chippy C, there are a total of 5 different dips, which consists of the usual chili and ketchup, additional with traditional mayo sauce, creamy cheese sauce and malt vinegar.  Traditional mayo sauce cost $0.80, however when you order any set, it comes with a dip, so you can just exchange it for $0.30. Creamy cheese sauce cost $1, however when you order any set, it comes with a dip, so you can just exchange it for $0.60. Malt vinegar cost $0.70.
For the fish, there are 10pieces, its looks are mouth-watering and its taste are delicious as it is well-seasoned, I love the seasoning a lot as it is not too salty or spicy, the seasoning contains salt, pepper and etc. The batter for the fish, is not thick like others shop, so with one bite, you are able to taste the fish.
For the fries, it is the soft type fries, so for those who prefer crispy fries, may not like this, its seasoning is similar to the fish as the cook will season it again after both the fish and the fries were fried.
Overall, both the fish and the fries taste great with the dips given.
That’s all for western food, stay tuned for more!

Carrot cake

Hello!
I've been trying to find good food to recommend, however, most of them were average.
But on one of the days, I was short of money ($5), so I had to settle for a carrot cake from Seng Kee Carrot Cake stall.
It tasted good and was worth it so you should give it a try! There are 3 sizes: small, medium, and large.

Guess how much this is!
It's only $2! What a huge serving! This is the small plate and they gave me 4 big pieces of carrot cakes.
It was freshly cooked and the carrot cake was crispy on the outside but soft in the inside.

Overall it tasted good and was able to fill my tummy up! The stall owner is also kind enough to serve it to us while I sat at my table.

8.5/10
Piece of advice - Unless you're a big eater with a strong appetitie, the $2 carrot cake is sastifying.

Fish and chips consist of battered fish which is deep-fried, along with some fries (chips), and in makan place it comes with salad and comes with mayonnaise sauce, extra mayonnaise sauce will be charge $0.30 more. But 1 cup of mayonnaise is enough for me, as other sauce like chili and ketchup are provided.

It is crispy and the batter is just nice you can taste the fish in just one bite unlike others you taste the batter more than the fish, you can squeeze the lemon for better taste. Overall the fish taste great together with the mayonnaise sauce.
For the fries, it is the crispy type, it is not salty which is much more a healthy choice. Furthermore it comes with salad which is healthy as salads are made up of vegetables that are cool and crunchy. Western Food!

Hello everybody (:
Today I will be sharing with you all about western food.
Name of the dish: Baked rice sausage mushroom
Cost of the dish: $3.80
Place of the location: Canteen 3 @ NP

This baked rice is made up with the combination of cheese, rice, sausage and mushroom.
The waiting time for baked rice is much longer than the others. The waiting time is around 10 to 15minutes. The rice is quite dry, however together with the melted cheese given, the rice would taste better. The stall owner would allow us to add on the cheddar cheese. The sausage and mushroom was well-cooked and it go along well with the baked rice.
Overall the combination is fine, and if the rice is not that dry it will taste even better. That’s all for western food, stay tuned for more!

Grilled chicken and sotong set

Hello! I have eaten another meal with a huge chicken serving!
I went to Jurong point at Boon Lay and I ate at Kopitiam's Indonesian panggang.
I bought the Grilled chicken and sotong set for 5.80.

Isn't the chicken huge?

The price of this set meal is $5.80.However for that cost, you get to eat freshly grilled chicken and sotong, and the person cooks right in front of you! Imagine having barbeque food in an air conditioned place! After cooking, they would dip the chicken and sotong into sweet black sauce and your rice will be splashed with vegetable curry. The chicken was tender and the sotong was chewy. You can actually choose the type of meat you want. You can get either the chicken with fish or fish with sotong set too!

8/10
Piece of advice - Be prepared to wait for around 5 minutes to have your food cooked perfectly!

Food: Kimchi Ramen (Chicken)
Noodles noodles!

Description: Dining in Bukit Panjang Plaza on Monday, I decided to try out yet another Korean stall's food. This time round, I chose its famous Kimchi Ramen(noodles). Even though the noodles were a bit hard, I feel that it is a reasonable meal, having so much ingredients and cost only $5.50. Be warned though, as it is actually spicier than it looks.

P.S. You can choose between Chicken or Beef Kimchi Ramen, with beef priced at 20 cents more.

Baked Fish Rice

Western Food!

Hello everybody (:
Today I will be sharing with you all about western food.
Name of the dish: Baked Fish Rice
Cost of the dish: $7.90
Place of the location: C.Nai HongKong Cafe @ Fareast Plaza

This baked rice is made up with the combination of cheese, fish, rice and corn.

The rice around the side of the bowl is a little too dry and a little hard perhaps they cook it for too long.
The cheese is sufficient enough for the whole bowl and it taste great.
The corn make the whole dish turns out sweet, which gave it a unique taste.
The fish, they gave too much, which make it very filling.
Overall the combination is fine, and it taste a little different from the stores outside. It is because this baked rice is from a hong kong cafĂ© that’s why it taste differently. That’s all for western food, stay tuned for more!
